Hello sweet friends! I hope this finds you well and having a wonderful weekend! I recently bought some gorgeous supplies and just had to share them with you. This first picture is a box of beautiful millinery posies. I purchased these just for use on my hearts. I have renamed them Love Note Pockets. The name comes from something Chad and I have done for years. We love to just write a small note to one another a token of our love and appreciation and sit it by the coffee pot or on our end tables. Just something nice to find once a loved one has gone to work.
I also purchased these beautiful millinery roses and blackberries. I adore these so much! I don't think I could part with the blackberries or the big rose with the feather. I love feathers.

This sweet little piece is actually a place card holder! It was made from vintage millinery and a newer velvet strawberry. I wrote Cottage Welcome on the place card and sat it on a pretty tole tray.

Wonderfully frothy, frilly, sherbet colored chiffon trim. Oh how I adore this trim! It is so soft and feminine and the colors delicious...
Today, I made two Love Note Pockets. They are the perfect place to leave a love note or token of affection to a loved one :)
This one is gorgeous pink and green flocked wallpaper!! Oh is it ever gorgeous!! It has the prettiest pattern with rose bouquets! A gorgeous millinery posy bouquet is tucked in the corner, along with a rhinestone piece that sparkles in the light...
This one is so soft, in its cream and silver toned super soft flocked wallpaper with touches of pink and soft blue.
Another garland, this one made with a piece of minty seafoam green chiffon and lots of vintage millinery, all plucked from the same hat. Beautiful on a chandelier...
Or as a chair decoration, perhaps for a tea party or shower...
Or just draped anywhere! So romantic and delicate. All these are coming to my shop later, if you are interested. *UPDATE* LOL!!!!!! This garland looks so pretty on my chandelier, I had to take it out of my shoppe and keep it, lol!!!!! :):) Oh well! Maybe I will do another for my shoppe!

Shabby millinery and handmade roses garland or banner, Christmas

Hello Dear friends! Happy weekend!! I hope you had a wonderful week and have a fun weekend! Today, I was creating again :) This idea came to me as I was planning out my Christmas decor for this year. I thought, why not make a pretty garland with millinery and my favorite roses that I make! The colors on this are so soft and pretty! Pinks, aquas, creams and silver. The thing I love about this is that it is also a banner! You can use this year round! It has so many possibilities. You could use it on an Easter tree too. I put it on my little feather tree and loved it. But then I started putting it in different places around my home and loved it even more! I put it on my chandelier, LOVE!! I love an embellished chandelier! This is so pretty with the silver sparkling. I hung it on little pegs around my home. I hung it on my pantry door and my vintage window in the entry way. I just love its versatility! I adore an item that I can use for different reasons and places; I think this would be so pretty, tied around a chair. OR hanging from a tree or arbor for a garden tea party in the spring! The possibilities are endless. This is probably the only one I will make and I am putting it in my Etsy Shoppe!

Aqua, pink and sparkle

I decided to make up some rose tags in my favorite colors, aqua-ish blue and soft pink! I used my favorite glitter, silver German glass. I just love the effect! I think it looks so pretty on a white tree :)
I wrapped a pretty package and added a tag, so pretty! I will be doing this with gifts from now on :) Such a sweet little keepsake to go with a gift.
I added some to the tree without tags, just sat them on the branches. So pretty :) I will be adding a couple sets of this aqua and pink to my Etsy later today. Thank you all for stopping by! Been bakin up some....

Tags!!! Remember my handmade, hand dyed paper roses I used to make? Well, I had taken a break from them as they are very time consuming. But lately have been missing making them :) It seems like I always feel like making them around the holidays? Anyway, this year, I decided to make them into tags!

I did the old coffee treatment on the tags to age them. I added LOTS of cinnamon and vanilla to make them smell so good and festive. I had Christmas on the brain, lol! Poor Chad, came home from work and thought I was bakin' up something good, lol!! The boys kept saying, I wish those were cookies! So now I am going to have to bake some cookies, lol! Gotta keep the guys happy too! These tags smell so good and just make you feel warm inside, like Christmas time! I made some of my roses in a soft yellow, almost cream for an aged look. Then I added this pretty coppery, mauvy pink glitter to the edges. So festive and sparkly! I am going to make some soft pink ones with silver glass glitter for my next batch!
I have made up some cute little gift with purchase holiday packs for anyone that purchases one of my hearts. You get one of these yummy tags in the pack! I might make up a few sets to sell in my shop also. I think these make the cutest package tie ons or to from tags for presents! They also look pretty hanging on a feather tree. I added these labels to the back. I hope you enjoy these! I think I will use them on my gifts to girls this Christmas :) I love something unique for gift packaging. Wrapping presents is so much fun, especially for women and girls :) If you would like to order a custom set of these, please let me know and I will do a batch up for you in your specifications, minus the label on the back of course :) I think they would be perfect with the vintage style brown wrapping paper, tied up with twine!! Hi friends! November is here. And I have a very sick little guy today :( Not a good way to start the month! I hope you all had a wonderful Halloween, and ate lots of candy :) I ate so many mini Twix, I don't need to see another one for a year, lol!

Hi Sweet Friends! Happy Halloween!! I hope you all have a fun safe time tonight. I want to thank you all so much for your kind comments AND help and suggestions for our Disney World vacation. We are all so excited and cant wait. I plan to book some character meals soon. Elyse, thank you for the tips on that!!! :) Lori, thank you so much for the calender suggestion for the boys, they are so excited about that !! You girls are the best!

I want to let you know that I just added a couple of new items to my Etsy Shoppe! I have been having so much fun creating since Heather's workshop. I recently came into some wonderful millinery and wallpapers. I decided to make, heart Pockets! These are wooden hearts, embellished with pretty vintage items and have a tiny pocket to stick something in. I love how they turned out. I am working on some more of them in other colors. But these are my first two.

Giveaway WInner...

Hi everyone! Happy Thursday!! I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far! I have been busy :) Crafting some things for my shop. Bringing back some old things, but in a new way. Trying to keep my mind busy and off negative things. Chad and I had a blast the other night planning and booking a trip HERE for Easter break. My youngest is finally old enough for us to take the boys and I am ecstatic!! I cannot wait. If I can just make it through til' March 27th and no one gets sick for those ten days that we are gone, I will be happy, lol! It was a surprise for the boys, they freaked!

Chad and I had a nice time on our date :) The roses above are from my sweetie pie on the night of our date :) I have received a lot of emails asking what I thought of Paranormal Activity. Chad and I both thought it was really good and definitely worth seeing. We are into ghost hunting etc. So it was our cup of tea. We, however, did NOT think it was scary at all. Definitely eerie. It really made me think about what goes on in our house when we are asleep! If you like ghost hunting, I would recommend it. Just remember, it is filmed through the eyes of the video camera and is not a traditional movie. If you see it, please let me know what you think!

Halloween Costume...

Hi sweet friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend :) Ours was pretty nice. Chad was out of town Saturday and it rained all day. That was a long day with the boys, all they did was fight, lol! Sunday we went out for the day and that was fun.

I was playing around with my camera and took these beautiful pictures of my roses from Chad. They were getting old but looked so beautiful! I love how the picture above looks, so soft and romantic. I could almost make a card from it!

This one is very pink :) And of course, I love that. I enhanced the pink and thought it looked pretty in the different shades. I just had to share them with you!
Sunday, we went shopping. I got a Halloween costume. Can you guess what I am going to be?? I never dress up for Halloween but Chad thought this was cute. I *doubt* I will wear this trick or treating (tee-hee)!!
I have to give a HUGE shout out for this movie!!!!! It was phenomenal!! Chad and I took the boys to see this on Sunday. I cried, it was sooo good!!! Do you remember this book?? I loved it. The movie really hit home for us all I think. Definitely worth seeing!!
Chad and I get a date night tonight! We are going to see this movie. I cannot wait!!!! I LOVE scary movies!!!

Its All About Me!! Party!!

Hi Sweet Bunny Friends!! Welcome to my contribution to Natasha's It's All About Me Party!!! First, I want to thank our hostess, Natasha for coming up with this fabulous idea!!! Natasha, I hope you make this an annual thing!!

When I first read about this party, I had a couple small projects in mind that I had been putting off and wanted to get done. Then, my friend Heather had an Art Journal Workshop called A Beautiful Life. I had to join! I am a HUGE fan of Heather's work and her blog. It is so dreamy and beautiful. And Heather is so talented! This workshop has been one of the best things I have ever done. It helped me through a hard time in my life by taking my mind off things. I also didn't realize until I had finished the journal, just how much it would mean to me! I look at my journal every day and it has such sentimental meaning to me. I plan to keep it forever!

The first two pages. I love the colors and contrasts. Heather chose such beautiful images for us to use too!
Oh How I Love. We kind of had free reign on these pages to do what we wanted. I decided I wanted the love of my life, Chad in these pages. He is my heart, my soul, my everything! This is one of my favorite pictures from our wedding. I added a locket that I got from Karla, to put a sentiment in. On the left, I used an antique postcard from my friend Janet. At the top, I used The heading. closing and date of some love letters I have from 1944. They are between a married couple who's husband is away at war.
These two pages here are just beautiful. The way Heather designed these is amazing! I chose to use some vintage wallpaper for the left page. I wanted to leave the sepia tones, so I chose a beige millinery flower for the left page. A linen colored bow from trim I bought from Heather and one of my favorite vintage earrings I had. The silver glitter on the frames edge looks terrible in these pictures but in real life, I just love the effect!!
I am absolutely OBSESSED with Distress Ink from Tim Holtz!! On the next four pages, I went a bit crazy with it, lol! It just gives such a perfectly aged look! On the left, I used a piece from an antique French book I received from my friend Janet. On the right, is a calling card and a splash of pink and aqua. I really aged this page and I love the look. It is called Blessed Family.
The last two pages of the journal, were blank to do as we pleased. Since this is called A Beautiful Life, I wanted to incorporate my family. I also wanted to include my love of whimsy and pink. I used polka dots for whimsy, I love them so! I really aged this family picture and printed it in sepia. I added a big white millinery flower and pretty brooch to the center of it. For The Love Of Family is added. On the last page, I wanted to add a little spot where I could write about the journal. I used striped paper and aged it up and for the frame, I used toile paper and really aged it up as well. I love the look. I added lace to both pages that I distressed. A big purple millinery flower was used on the bottom.

I had so much fun with this book and love it so much! Thank you sweet Heather!!

These next two little projects were things that had been put off. Things Chad and I bought on our vacation this summer.

This first project is one of the simplest, but one of my favorites! Remember the vintage window that I bought? This is what I did with it! And I love it! There is a little nook at the end of the hallway that I have always thought should have had a window!! So, I added this one. I found this beautiful, springy vintage wallpaper on beloved Etsy. I LOVE this paper so much! It makes me happy, it is so cheerful and pretty. The colors are great. I simply staple gunned it to the back of the window. Then added hangers to the back. I also added two pretty brass coat hanger to the sides, to kind of resemble my vintage window shelf that hangs in the entry.
VOILA!! I love it. It is even prettier than I pictured it in my mind. The window has just the right amount of chippiness and shab that we love so much. I hung a pretty millinery lace cloche hat on one of the hangers. I added a millinery corsage to the hat. It reminds me of a spring wedding! Then, I found this PERFECT shabby flower cone in Jo-Anne Coletti's shop! I LOVE it! I filled it with soft pink fresh roses. I love this look, I told Chad, I need fresh pink roses in the house at all times now, lol!
Here is another sentimental project :) Chad did most of the work but I oversaw the project, lol! I found this beautiful porch banister in an antique shop in Ohio. I fell in love with it but didn't know what I would ever use it for! Then Chad and I found and fell in love with this gorgeous handmade birdhouse. We found it in Berlin Ohio. It is HUGE. Instantly I knew that it would be perfect on that porch banister! I just love the look! Chad did a beautiful job on this too! He cemented it in so that it could stay as tall as it is. I put it back in my secret garden area. I love the way it looks. I have so many plans for my little corner of the woods!

And lastly, I had been wanting to do a little tray for a desk in the living room.
I wanted a soft, serene, white look with lace and bling. I really like how it turned out! I just used a craft tray from Michael's. I added little ball feet to the bottom. I added a wide piece of vintage crochet lace trim, some pearls, appliques with rhinestones, millinery and to the center, a china head doll head.
It turned out just how I had hoped :)

Cinderella Surprises

Ever since I posted my last post about my pink pumpkins, things involving Cinderella have been happening! It all started when Barbara Jacksier left the sweetest comment on that post, saying that the pumpkins looked like what Cinderella would have if she discovered Halloween! I loved that comment so much. Cinderella is one of my favorite stories!

Then, Tuesday, a surprise arrived at my door from my super sweet friend Holly :)
She sent me this adorable bunny pumpkin in pink. It is so cute and a nice large size, it reminds me of the pumpkin carriage Cinderella rode in! Thank you Holly :) I love this, the bunny is the cutest too and I love the glittery sparkle.
This darling Cinderella doll was a gift this last week from my own Prince Charming, Chad!
He got it for me along with one of my all time favorite movies, Snow White!!!
AND, my super sweet sis Julie sent me this Cinderella charm this week!!! Isn't this funny?
AND, last night, Chad brought me home these gorgeous roses!! In the perfect shade of pink :) He truly is a prince!
I don't know if you can tell by the pic, but this gorgeous *pink* babies breath is covered in glitter!!! I freaked, lol!! I will be drying it and some of the roses!

Pink Pumpkin Patch

This is it. This is what you get at Bunny Rose Cottage. For Autumn/Halloween decor that is! Pink. Sorry, cant do orange, I just cant! BUT, we do have plenty of fun :) I mean, I DO have five boys!! And the older ones want to wear scary, icky costumes, lol! And I LOVE scary movies, they are my favorite kind. The Boo sign pictured above, hangs from my chandelier. It was made by Roxie of Jorabeels. Love her candylights :)
Check this out!! A BUNNY pumpkin!!! This was a gift from my really good friend Celeste of La Rea Rose. She made me some pumpkins that would make me smile and still think spring :) She knows I am not a fan of fall/winter :) Look at that fluffy fat bunny!! Dont ya just want to squeeze him? And of course her big lush roses that I love so much!
Celeste also sent me these little pumpkins to go with my bunny pumpkin!
The pretty patchwork pumpkin was handpainted by my friend Dolly and was part of a Halloween swap she and I were partners in :) She put so much work into this! The adorable Punkin Patch sign was a gift from my friend Lorena of Rose Chic Friends. Isnt it cute? Perfect nestled among the pumpkins! The pink plush pumpkin was made by me :), at my sweet grandma's house. She and I made a bunch of them to sell a few years ago. Some of you have one :)

Next I wanted to show you this ADORABLE shelf and jars I bought from my friend Catherine of Pink Rose Pastries. I love it. I bought it for storage of craft supplies. I wanted to be able to see them for inspiration. My talented friend Lori posted some jars that she put millinery in and it looked so pretty, I just had to put some in the jars :) The other jar is lace and more supplies are in the drawer.
Catherine included the adorable candy scoops in the jars :) So nostalgic and sweet :) Her roses are so beautiful!

I just had to BRAG about Heather's A Beautiful Life Art Journal Workshop!!! Heather did the most amazing job and was such a wonderful teacher!! The whole time, I felt like she was right there with me. I am so sad that it is over!!! I had so much fun. I spent hours just sitting and working on this. It was wonderful and relieved so much stress!! I will show you my completed journal on Oct. 22nd for Natasha's All About Me Party!!! Heather, thank you so much!!!!! I can just picture someone coming across these journals 100 years from now :) Oh what a beautiful find it will be!!

Home Is Where Your Story Begins...

Hi dear friends :) How are you this weekend? I hope this finds you well! This is a special post that I wanted to do about my friend Nichole of Cola's Cottage. I discovered Nichole about a year or so ago. The first time I visited Nichole's shop, I was absolutely blown away by her talent! Not only does she paint beautiful shabby roses but also portraits of people! She did a portrait of her daughter as a baby and I actually got tears in my eyes. It just touched my heart and was so realistic, you could swear it was a photograph! Recently, I visited Nichole's shop for the hundredth time, just to drool and enjoy, lol! I saw a painting that said Home Is Where Your Story Begins. That quote just spoke to me! It made me feel so warm inside and I thought of my little family. Sadly, the piece was already sold. I couldn't stop thinking about it, so I contacted Nichole and asked her if there was any way she could do a piece that said this on it for me. She kindly agreed! That was the beginning of a beautiful friendship between Nichole and I :) We have found we have so much in common and lots to chat about.

Please excuse my photos today, it is very rainy and dark here in Michigan, freezing too! This is the beautiful vintage door that I ordered from Nichole with that beautiful saying and her exquisite roses! They have such a vintage look! Be sure to enlarge to see. This is a HUGE piece, over two feet tall! It makes for a wonderful focal point in my living room :) I am just so pleased with the shabby/cottage look it has also. It has the original hinges and glass door knob!
This is the beautiful portrait Nichole painted of her daughter. Isn't it wonderful? I am just amazed at her talent!!!! She just did a couple new ones and they are on her blog, be sure and check them out!! The detail in the face is just so real, so much expression.
Look at the beautiful goodies that were included in my package! Check out that gorgeous magnet with bling on it :) And I love that it says inspire!

Sweets for Monday...

Hi sweet friends. :) I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! After a REALLY rough week last week, I ended up with a flu like virus over the weekend and I just feel terrible. Have I mentioned that I REALLY don't like fall and winter?? lol! I spent most of the weekend in bed. Today, a sweet surprise arrived at my door. Just when I really needed a smile and to be uplifted, the PRECIOUS lollipop bunny pictured above, along with the sweetest card came from Julie Marie of Idyll Hours. Julie, you are so sweet! Thank you so much for my new bunny (and she loves all of her friends in my sweet shoppe kitchen :) ), the beautiful card and emails and most of all, for being such a sweet and caring friend! I swear, you blog girls always know how to pick someone up! I love you :):)

Today is FREEZING, in the 50's and so rainy and cloudy :( Since I am sick, I think I will go curl up with my coffee, pumpkin muffin (thanks honey, you always know what I need!) and...
THIS! This much anticipated issue of Romantic Country arrived at my door today also. Our sweet friends Jenn and Janet's homes are both featured in this issue so I am really looking forward to curling up with this.
I put some taco soup in the crock pot for dinner, so that is done...

My "famous" (well, we like it around here, lol) chicken noodle soup, one of my favorite meals!

WOW, has it changed in Michigan in the last five days! Autumn is definitely coming in like a lion! Gibson and I spent some time outside in the Autumn air. I could smell the neighbors wood stove, a definite chill was in the air and leaves were crunching beneath our feet. Gibson, with outstretched arms spinning in circles singing, "It's raining leaves"... And that it was. I wont deny that Autumn is beautiful. But once the leaves are off the trees, I am SO over it. With fall comes winter (CAPITAL YUCK!). And my emetophobia kicks in. That is why I don't like it. Just to get it straight for all you Autumn lovers, lol! BUT, I am trying to be positive! SO, I am doing a list of my favorite fall things.

1. The smell of burning leaves
2. Chicken noodle Soup
3. My UGG Cardy's for slippers and getting to wear all my UGGS in general
4. I love sweaters
5. Snuggling under my OLD and tattered purple blanket. Actually, it is the "family" blanket. We even fight over it, lol! Including the dogs!
6. hot tea
7. caramel apples'
8. apple cider
9. Pumpkin anything!! (bread, scones, cake ....YUMMERS)

So see, I was able to come up with some good things, lol!

Saturday afternoon, as my guys were huddled in, watching the Michigan State game, I crept outside with my new Romantic Homes Magazine and my camera. I sat on my garden bench and read through the magazine. The air was very warm. I could smell fresh cut grass, hear bees buzzing and birds chirping. As I looked at pictures of pumpkin pie and darker colors, I realized, it was time to say goodbye to my favorite season. A lot of you have expressed lately how much you love Autumn, Halloween and the crisp air. I remember six months ago, feeling your same joy, as my favorite seasons were upon us.

Tears welled up in my eyes. I closed them and let my senses take over. I drink in the beauty of summer. Then, I wiped my eyes, jumped up and grabbed my camera. I took pictures of the little things. The things I have taken for granted these last months. The things that will soon be gone as the earth becomes dormant for another cold season...

Today, a much anticipated package arrived at my door. When I saw the polka dotted package sitting on the porch, I *SQUEALED* with delight!! It had arrived :):) And it is even more beautiful than I thought it would be, which is unbelievable that it could ever be better than what I had imagined! It was my *special* order from my super sweet and talented friend Jenn of Sweet Eye Candy Creations. Jenn makes the happiest, prettiest, most whimsical one of a kind pieces. I can hardly stand it, lol!

And HERE she is!!! My one of a kind Butterfly Fairy Bunny :) I named her Twinkle, after Jenn :)

She is wearing the prettiest dress in my favorite colors! Pink, aqua and white :) And to top it off it is striped like candy :) Thank you so much Jenn, I love her so much :)

On Jenn's latest blog post, she put up a tutorial on making collages. Be sure and check it out :) Along with the tutorial, she offered some of her collages up for sale. When I saw this ADORABLE bunny one, I couldn't stand it and I had to have it, lol! In my little world, cupcakes and bunnies just go together! The bunny Jenn used looks a lot like three little bunnies I used to have and that just tugged at my heartstrings even more. I love this so much, it is darling!! I wish cupcakes were really as big as this one too, lol!

Hey sweet bunny friends!! Happy weekend!! You have no idea how GLAD I am that it is the weekend, lol! Last week was so hard on me with school starting. I am not used to getting up so early and I have been so tired. Bunny Rose Cottage looks like a cyclone hit. I plan to try and rest as much as possible this weekend. Hopefully next week will be a bit easier. Though I am sure it wont. Chad will be on a business trip to Detroit for three days. Me and the five kids alone!!! Aahhhh!! I hope I make it, lol~ Just kidding~. Today we are celebrating my second oldest son, Colton's birthday. He is ten!!! Now I have two ten years old for two months. Colton and Ashton are only 9.5 months apart! Craaaazzzyy huh? Colton was born 2.5 months premature. It was a very scary day when he came so early. He was so cute and tiny though :) Only 17 inches long and 4.75 pounds. He looked like a cute little monkey :) While we are waiting for my parents to get here, I thought I would do a post. Chocolate cake and chocolate frosting with cookie dough ice cream are what he chose for his birthday. Yummers! He also picked my loaded nachos for dinner. So that will be our evening :)

Last night, I made this wonderful recipe that I found on Cherry Hill Cottage blog. It was sooo good and just the best comfort food. My family just loved it. It will be so perfect for the colder months. It is super easy too! I highly recommend it if you haven't tried it. I served it over Amish noodles and it had such a down home flavor. Sweet Overload!!

Hi my sweet friends!! How are you this Thursday? I hope this finds you all happy and well!! I want to thank you all so much for your super, sugary sweet comments on my last post!! It just filled my heart with joy. You all are the sweetest!! Like I always say, bloggers rock!! And thank you to all of you that emailed and asked how the boys' first day of school went :) Despite the iCarly withdrawals (that is a whole other post, lol!), it went well! They all seem to like there teachers and are doing well getting back into the routine of things. Edison enjoys kindergarten so far and LOVES showing me the cute things he does each day. As for Gibby and I, we are having fun together, lol! He has been doing lots of paper cutting, drawing and coloring and talking :) He asks lots of questions. He is adorable! This morning, we put together the puzzle shown above. As I looked at it, it put me in a happy, playful mood :) Who doesn't love the carnival? The sun is shining bright today, perfect day for picture taking! So, between the sun and my sugary sweet mood, I decided to take random pictures of my sweet shop themed kitchen/dining room as a post today. AND, I recently bought two sugary sweet items from THIS super talented and super sweet friend. I cant wait to show you when they arrive. They are for the sweet shop kitchen and MAY just put it over the top with sweetness. But can you really have too much sweetness?? That remains to be seen, lol!

Bittersweet...

Well, today was the day. The day I dread every year and even more so this year. The first day of school. I think it even harder for me than for the boys, lol! Actually, I know it is. The boys were kind of excited about school today! Which is wonderful and I am thankful for that!

Here they are! Edison, he is going into Kindergarten. It is his first time going to school and his first time away from mommy :( He broke my heart last night. As he turned the corner to go in his bedroom for bed, he turned around and said "mommy, are you going to miss me tomorrow?" More than you could ever know little guy! Then in the red collar (and hair!) is Dylan. He is going into 2nd grade and he will be showing Edison how to get to class. Then in blue is Gibson. He is my only one home now! Behind Gibby is Colton, he is in fourth grade (already!!), then the oldest, Ashton is in, gulp, fifth grade!!

Here they are getting on the bus this morning. See the yellow backpack? That is little Edison. He LOVES the color yellow and he LOVES Bumblebee from Transformers. He had to have an all yellow backpack. We even found a bumblebee one but it wasn't yellow enough. lol! But he did find an all yellow bumblebee lunch bag and was so excited!! And a bumblebee shirt for the first day. They are all growing up so fast. Ashton picked out all black shirts this year! And of course, they HAD to have Tony Hawk shoes, lol!!

Here is my little four year old Gibby. He was so sad that he couldn't go to school, he cried. So I bought him a new art set, coloring book and he got a new shirt to wear today. Here he is in his shirt and holding his art set. It is the cutest art set, centered around animals and it even makes noises. Santa will be adding to this collection :)

Here he is coloring drawing and cutting paper. He has been doing this all morning, lol.

Well, I am off to watch some favorite cartoons. I actually LOVE the ones pictured above, lol! Toot and Puddle is the cutest show. They live in a little cottage in the woods and Toot likes to travel. Puddle goes with him sometimes. And then there is the adorable Max and Ruby. Yep, that is why our bunnies names are Max and Ruby, after these cuties. Can you tell I have been watching too many cartoons for too many years, lol? It is pretty sad when the only songs stuck in my head are the theme from Handy Manny and other kids shows, lol! Oh well, it could be worse!

I received a gift in the mail last week. It touched my heart so much, it brought tears to my eyes! I couldn't believe it when I opened the box and saw this GORGEOUS wrapped present! Turquoise and brown, one of my favorite combos. What could it be?

I opened this beautiful card full of bunnies :) It is from my super sweet friend Julie Marie (I blogged about her in a previous post :) )! Blogland is so unbelievable!!

The Wind In The Willows!!!!! One of my FAVORITE books ever!!! I just stood there staring at this gorgeous heartfelt gift in disbelief! Memories flooded back of my childhood... My teacher read us this book when I was a child. I was mesmerized by it, lost in the words. I could not wait for story time everyday when she would read from this wonderful book. This book has been in my heart since! I will read from this to my boys every night, in the hopes that it will remain in there hearts as well. Thank you so much Julie Marie, your generosity is amazing. This book means so much more to me than you could ever know! Thank you sweet friend, I will treasure it always.

I got some of the most exciting news and I am ecstatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The above picture is of (in order) Chad, me, my dad, my mom, my sister in-law Gin, my brother Brandon and my maternal grandma. We are getting ready to go to dinner in this pic, which was taken Tuesday night. GUESS WHAT??? Brandon and his wife are going to have a baby!!!!! I am going to be an aunt!! I am so over the moon, I cant stop thinking about it, lol! My little brother is having a baby :) This is the first baby other than my kids! I have two younger brothers and this will be the first of either! I so hope it is a girl :) But even if it isnt, oh well, it is a baby!!!!! I love babies!!! I am already planning the shower to have at my house, tee hee! The baby is due in April, so it will be a spring shower!!! You all know my house is pink, cuppycake and bunnies, right?? Wouldn't it be just perfect to have a little girl shower here? SCREAM!! If it is a boy, I can mix aqua, white and yellow with the pink and VINTAGE! You girls will help me, I know it cuz your all so crafty and talented! Oh how fun and something to look forward to! I have niece's and nephews on Chad's side but it just feels different being my brother. You know what I mean? And they just bought the cutest new house. Can we say...wait for it...paint party!!!! YAY!!....

Hi dear friends :) I am a little late with my Blogging For Bliss post. But hopefully this will bring this WONDERFUL book back to mind! Artsy Mama had a Blogging For Bliss party on August 4th! The release date of the fabulous new book by Tara Frey. I hope if you don't already have this book, that you will run out and get it because it is truly a must have. Whether you already have a blog or are thinking of starting one. Tara has a beautiful talent for writing. She makes you feel like she is talking to you which is such a gift. The day I purchased my book, I read the entire thing. I just could not put it down! Not only did Tara write a beautiful book with so many tips and information, she also features some of our favorite blogs! Each of the featured blogs have a full page about them which I just think is wonderful!

Tara contacted me last year and asked me if I would like to write a little paragraph about Blogger that would be in the book!! Well, I almost fell off my chair!!! I was over the moon! I am so excited, honored and proud to be part of something so wonderful! Above is a little snippet of the paragraph :) My name in a book, be still my heart!! Tara's blog was one of the first blogs I ever read and I fell instantly in love. Her heartfelt posts, beautiful pictures and love for family drew me in.
