Ohhh Whimsical Christmas tree, your branches make me smile...

Hello :) I hope you all had a great weekend. Ours was pretty boring. Dave helped a friend move and then he had to work on Saturday, even though it was supposed to still be his vacation :( Emily is here for a week now. I got all of my shop packages boxed up and mailed along with our Christmas cards. I don't think anyone will be buying much now until after Christmas. Poor Dave had to stand in a line out the post office door tonight. I felt so bad.

Well, I figured I better get my Christmas tree post up since it is less than a week away!

Here is a pic I took a few days ago and it had just snowed.
Here it is from another angle.
I thought I would share a few of my favorite ornaments. This is a tag ornament that was a gift from Rosemary at Ozma Of Odds.
This pretty pink vintage bulb with hearts was a gift from my friend Heather of Pretty Petals.

A favorite vintage ornament
Another vintage favorite.
This cutie was a gift from my parents. This one is Savannah's favorite one to look at. She always goes to this one first.
Cutie pie snowman was a gift from Rebecca of A Gathering Place last year.
Snowman angel :)
Pink Christmas Santa from Jenn of Eye Candy Creations
Beautiful bird from Celeste of La Rea Rose
Pretty crochet bird
Of course their has to be a bunny in there.
Polar bear with a pink scarf :)
Polar bear with aqua scarf. The pink ornament is sitting in just the right spot that when the tree lights hit it, it glows so beautifully :)

Under the tree must be pretty too :)
Two deer that I painted white, one this year and one last.
The tiny silver presents that Edison put under the tree :)
White Santa's bag with a train inside. Reminds me of my boys :)
Little village box I made a few years ago.

The angel I redid for Savannah last year.

The girly stockings are hung :)

I won this beautiful stocking last year from Brenda of Shabby Cats and Roses. I just love her work :) This is Savannah's stocking :)

This is my stocking, made by my friend Steph of Angelic Accents a few years ago for a swap we had.

And there you have it, our tree in the sitting room :) We still have to put up the green tree in the family room but we are going to do that after Christmas when we finally have all the kids together! I have had the boys here and Emily here but not together. We have opposite weekends with them!! But for the holidays we have them together. So we will put that tree up and the kids stockings when they are here. I have not started baking either because the boys told me they want us to frost cookies when they come :) So I definitely want to wait for them!! I want us to do some peanut butter cookies with stars on them and Emily wants to make acorns with the boys. My mom always does so much baking and I love it. She asked me what I want for Christmas and I said all I want is her Chex Mix (I swear hers is the best!!) and her apricot bars that are to die for!! It would not be Christmas without them!! My mom could open a bakery and just sell those apricot bars and be a nationwide success!! Everyone that ever tries them falls in love with them. Even if they say they don't like apricots, I make them try it, lol, not really. But they end up loving them anyway! I don't have the recipe and I don't want it. I just want my mom to make them, lol. Childhood memories of them for sure.

Well, Christmas is about here so I hope you all have a wonderful time! I am kind of glad that we aren't doing ours until New Years because when everyone else is done, we still have it to look forward to :) New Years Eve I will make hors d' oeuvres and we will watch movies and the kids will have sparkling juice and we will have wine :) at midnight, open gifts in the morning, make a big breakfast and I will make a big dinner. I asked Dave what he wanted and he said, ham, mashed potatoes and squash, lol. And I have to do crescent rolls and Jell-O salad for my boys. And then we wont be having Christmas with my parents until after that, lol. So for our family, it is about three to four weeks away. Fine by me!

Anyway, happy holidays to you all!! Thank you for your love and support and sticking with me through my changes. Love ~ Amy

Your tree is beautiful - perfect in your aqua room! I think I am going to have to look for a white tree after Christmas. (a small one for the guest room maybe)
So glad you will have all the kids together, know it will be a special holiday for you.
Merry Christmas to you and all your family!

Your tree is so beautiful. We are busy here baking and tying up lose ends for Christmas. I am hoping that by Wed I can have everything all done but we shall see.

My Christmas dinner is not going to be traditional this year as we are doing Christmas on Friday with all the kids and dau in loves and such to make it easier for all the older kids and there in laws. We have decided to get Chinese for Christmas day dinner and Lasagna and salad and such for Christmas Eve. I am loving it.

I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and enjoy your time with the family.
